Trains

The daily train service from Malaga to Fuengirola is excellent, cheap, clean and always on time. Presently trains run every 30 minutes, but are due to run every 20 minutes from Spring 2011. From Malaga you can connect to other lines serving other destinations, including the AVE fast trains to Madrid. From Malaga Airport a single ticket to Torreblanca, Los Boliches and Fuengirola costs less than €2.

A new train station has been opened at the airport and is now situated close to the Arrival Hall. On leaving the Arrivals Hall follow the signs to the trains. Make sure that you buy your ticket before boarding the train. For train times please see the timetable at the Renfe website Renfe Timetable

Buses

A good selection of bus routes are provided along the Costa del Sol and inland by the Portillo bus company. See the Portillo website for further details

Car Hire

You will be met personally in the Arrivals Hall and taken straight to your hire car, no need to join the queues at the car hire desks which means that you will complete the paperwork and be on your way much sooner than if you had booked through one of the other car hire firms.
